Overview: 

Grizzlies Basketball Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth basketball and mentoring program that provides a positive and fun basketball experience for young athletes across the Midwest. We devote ourselves to providing an environment where basketball fundamentals are taught and developed in a positive and instructional climate. We offer recreational and competitive travel team. 

Mission: 

To provide youth across the Midwest an opportunity to improve their basketball skill level, develop self-confidence and exhibit leadership through participation on a team in a highly competitive program with strong emphasis on academics and community service.  

Program Background: 

The organization founding principles were established in 2007 with our mentoring program T.E.A.M. (Tutoring Enlightening and Mentoring). T.E.A.M. is designed to have young adults building positive relationships with youth and encourage them to make positive decisions, with a focus of them staying off the streets and getting involved with positive activities. 

Motor City Grizzlies was established in 2013 as the mentorship grassroots basketball program.

In 2023 the organization expanded by creating an additional grassroots program under the name “T.E.A.M. Grizzlies” in honor of the founding organization. 

In 2024 Grizzlies Basketball Club was established to provide oversight of Motor City Grizzlies and T.E.A.M. Grizzlies two independently operated organizations.
